I remember when I first met Johnny. He had big puppy dog eyes, a tanned face with jet-black hair which was heavily greased. Johnny was shy and didn't talk very much.
Johnny had no real family. The gang was his family and he was always welcome at my house. He was loved very much by the gang and was like another brother to me.

Johnny was a true friend. He would sit down and listen to anything anyone had to say and wouldn't judge.
Johnny loved it when I read, "Gone with the Wind" to him at the old church. Johnny wanted to travel the whole country and I wish I could still do that with him.
I will always remember the time when Johnny and I were at the old church and he saved those kids. He was a real hero.
Johnny was my best friend.
