Here are 8 rules to follow when writing blog posts:
- Always use descriptive title that reveals the point of the article without further reading.
- Use images, video, sub-titles, lists, examples, colors, italics and bold to cheer up the content and make it easier to share with others.
- Do not make your content very long, as it can bore the reader - unless it is a requirement due to the nature of the task. If the subject is long break it into different sections. It is easier to read this way.
- Remember you are writing to share your work with others - make it your best work.
- Always acknowledge other peoples ideas you have used.
- Spell-check and draft your work before posting.
- Know the guidelines set by the teacher for writing on your blog.
- When commenting respond in a constructive manner to others work - explain what could be improved or if you disagree with their ideas but not in a way that is rude or puts them down.
